Purple ribbons?

We’ve been asked, why some of the bikes show purple ribbons so, in a nutshell, in the run up to last year’s event two of our original supporters, Kathryn Humphries & Nigel Bundy lost their own battle with the big C. As a mark of respect to them, purple ribbons were made available. Other riders picked up on the reasoning so also asked for purple ribbons as their mark of respect for their own missing friends/loved ones. As this event is a ride of respect there will be more purple ribbons available on the day, should anyone wish to wear them for their own loved ones
